All Saints is an open-hearted, open-minded parish on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We have been worshiping together for three decades and are now searching for a fourth Rector to continue leading our faith community.
Although many in our congregation previously worshiped in other denominations, we now join as Episcopalians to worship God together. Above all, we are seeking a Rector to guide us spiritually and inspire us in worship. We are praying for a Rector who can illuminate the lessons of scripture, who can relate those lessons to guide our everyday lives, and who can through those lessons deepen our faith. Our worship is enriched by a highly talented team of Director and Assistant Director of Music and Organist.
Many of our congregation are retirees who have moved to the Outer Banks for its beauty and numerous activities. The average age of our congregation brings both challenges and opportunities. We are searching for a Rector who can provide compassionate pastoral care, both personally and through guidance to a willing laity, to assist those facing the challenges of advancing age. We are also grateful for the opportunity that our congregants have the time and resources to give back to our neighbors through community outreach and are seeking a Rector who embraces the importance of community involvement. All Saints has no mortgage or debt. In addition to our tithe to the Diocese, our budget provides more than a tithe to fund All Saints community outreach efforts.
While still a financially stable and vibrant parish, the size of our congregation has slowly declined over the last decade. We are searching for a Rector who can make use of inspiring worship, our ministries, pre-school, community outreach, and our active congregation to return on the path of growth that we experienced earlier in our parish life. The congregation takes seriously our vow to be open-hearted and open-minded, embracing the Episcopal Church’s position on inclusion.
