All Saints parishioners meet on Thursdays at 9:30 am in the Conference Room for Cursillo.
The Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina has been serving individuals seeking a closer relationship with Christ for over 30 years. Hosting Cursillo weekend experiences has been one of the major ways that the Diocese has helped parishes in this regard.
Cursillo is a spiritual journey designed to help Christians discover what is fundamental within our faith. Those who make their Cursillo (after the weekend referred to as “Cursillistas”) live out their experience through the perpetual “fourth day”& after their first Cursillo Weekend. As a ministry of the Episcopal Church under the authority of the Diocesan Bishop, the goal of Cursillo is to bring the world to Christ by empowering adult Christian leaders. A team of seasoned Cursillistas spends three days together with “candidates” (Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon) in learning, praying, thinking and talking about the foundations and developments of faith. These teachings equip and encourage Christians to live out their Baptismal Covenant by serving Christ and one another.
The diocese has sponsored more than 100 Cursillo weekends to date and sponsors three or four weekends a year at Trinity Center.
