The highly anticipated 13th annual After Dark program at All Saints Episcopal Church—featuring classes from art and dance to cooking—all taught by local professionals—kicks off on Feb. 10 and runs through March 1. This year, for the first time since the event’s inception, All Saints is partnering with Saint Andrews By-The-Sea in Nags Head to host the event, with all proceeds benefiting various local charities.
“At All Saints, we’ve had people that have been doing the work for years and years and years, and it was time to get some fresh blood involved in it,” says Steve Hotchkiss, Chair of After Dark. “Also, very importantly, I have heard lots of discussions between both churches that we ought to do more things together. And I figured this is a start to do exactly that.”
This collaboration holds special significance for Reverend Thomas “Tommy” C. Drake IV, the new Rector at All Saints, who was raised through the ordination process at Saint Andrews. With strong ties to both churches, he is eager to see this partnership grow into an equal collaboration.
